Best Nail Polishes for your quarantine blues: Spring 2020

With a lot more free time and the lack of open nail salons I decided to pick up on a brand new skill!

Trust me when I say that I am Stuuuuugling when it comes to my nails thanks to Miss. Corona. Thinking “logically” before any lockdowns began I decided to go to my local nail salon and get the dip nails for durability and longevity. While I was happy with my results, this option RUINED my nails! By the end of it I found the top layer of my nails peeling off with the colors. This is not cute. don’t get me wrong, the color I chose was great but the after math is just not worth it and therefore I decided to go on strike! My poor babies need a break and as a self-lover I will pay attention to my body but I still need to look stylish too and therefore I decided to do them myself. With all of my trials and errors I present to you my favorite picks!

SALLY HANSAN INSTA-DRY ( BLACK)

When in doubt, black you way out! Being new to this whole game I knew that it would be impossible to not make a mistake and therefore, for aesthetic reasons, I tried this baby out.Honestly it’s been a LOOOONNG time since I tried just one color on my hands, I tend to more adventurous with my nail designs but I really dig the plain black look with my outfits. Not only is this beginner friendly but the coat has a great look to it too and if your like me and hate to wait for your nails to dry, I promise you this is your best bet.

This beauty is a life saver! Aside from the fancy oils that i’m not sure how to use yet, when I add esse’s all-in-one as my base coat I could honestly end the process immediately after applying if I’m aiming for a natural look! Aside from being that friend you can count on, this is an awesome top coat too. Despite the variety of different brands that I came across, she never failed me with my desired lovely gloss finish.

ELLA+MILLA: PURE LOVE

This milky white color will give you the best results when aiming for your angelic white nails. My favorite part about this color is the application, it’s so smooth when applying the nail color to my nails! I will say though that it does take a little while to dry, but I promise you that the wait is worth it!

ESSIE: #72 NOT WHAT IT SEAMS

I will admit that Essie does have a special place in my heart, but this color just amazes me! It’s so beautiful when applying it to your nails and don’t expect any weird business with the brush because I had no such occurrences.

OPI: DON’T TELL A SOL

Be bright and be bold! This color will sure attract some attention if you wear this. Being part of their new Mexican City collection I admire their diversity in colors. Application was smooth but I will suggest putting on 3 coats minimum with this one, depending on your style, since the layers tend to be quite thin.

Thank you guys so much for reading today’s post! you’re amazing <3

Live life beautifully and work passional towards your goals!

-Much love, Kierra
